Government Contracts
I have worked in both the internal operations of a small business federal government contractor, and as an attorney in a firm specializing in federal government contracts. This makes me uniquely qualified to assist small businesses in navigating the federal government contracts arena. I offer the following services:
8(a) Applications
I offer a flat-rate package for preparing applications to the Small Business Administration’s (SBA’s) 8(a) Business Development Program. This consists of analyzing whether a business meets the eligibility requirements, assisting the business in gathering and compiling the necessary information and financial records, preparing the 8(a) application package for submission to the SBA, and interacting with the SBA to resolve any issues or difficulties.
Small Business Subcontracting Support
I can help small business subcontractors navigate important laws and regulations regarding their subcontracts with prime contractors on federal government contracts. This includes review and negotiation of subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements, non-competition agreements, and other pertinent documents. I can also assist with analysis, interpretation, and application of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to subcontractor obligations.
Size Protests and Appeals
While legal action is a last resort for small businesses, occasionally a small business will find itself as either the subject of a size protest, or in a situation where a contract is important enough to protest its award to an ineligible contractor. I have the knowledge, resources, and materials that are necessary in order to successfully represent contactors during all phases of litigation.
