Legal Meets Practical: Accessible Solutions

Business Formation Packages

I offer extremely competitive business formation flat-rate packages for Virginia limited liability companies, C corporations, and S corporations ($450.00, $600.00, and $650.00, respectively). These packages include all costs of business formation except for the cost of filing with the state, which is additional.

For an LLC, my business formation package includes the following:

  • A consultation to determine proper business entity type
  • An explanation of the advantages and disadvantages of forming an LLC compared with other business entity types
  • Preparation and filing of your business’ Articles of Organization
  • Preparation of your business’ Operating Agreement and/or bylaws
  • Availability in the event of follow-up questions
  • A checklist of continuing state obligations for an LLC to remain legally compliant.

For a C or S Corporation, my business formation package includes the following:

  • A consultation to determine proper business entity type
  • An explanation of the advantages and disadvantages of forming a corporation compared with other business entity types
  • Preparation and filing of your business’ Articles of Incorporation
  • Preparation of your business’ Shareholders Agreement and/or bylaws
  • Availability in the event of follow-up questions
  • A checklist of continuing state obligations for a corporation to remain legally compliant.

While you may have noticed the number of “do it yourself” business formation packages available online, there is great value in hiring a legal professional for business formation. You will receive tailored corporate documents with substantive edits based on your comments and concerns; careful preparation and drafting of your business formation documents; and peace of mind from having consulted with an experienced business formation attorney. This is not a fill-in-the-blank service, and nor should it be. As a small business owner myself, I recognize the value of doing things right the first time around to ensure protection in the future. If you are interested in my services, please contact me at [email protected].

Remember! Once you officially file your entity with the state, your work is not done to ensure that you are shielded from personal liability from corporate actions and debts. Read more about protecting yourself here.

Mission Statement

My mission is to provide accessible, high-quality legal services to small business owners and to veterans. I will strive to clearly communicate, understand objectives, and formulate and execute effective legal solutions.
